fender questions

Hi guys i was wondering if 70 chevelle fenders and door will bolt up to a 71???? Any help is apreciated thanks...

They should, as far as I know.

No they will not. 70's have four headlights and 71's only have two. However the door might. I suggest you look in a chevelle catolog and see.

ok... according to my hollanders interchange manual, you can use the doors, but you can not use the fenders. just incase you dont know what this book is and are wondering, its the book that lots of junk yards use to find what other cars you can pull parts off of. it is very reliable. now this book only tells you when you can take something that is a perfect fit without doing any modifacations, so something might fit with a little adjustment or something but it wont be in this book. im with ramseier on the fenders. they wont fit, but you can use the doors. hope that helped.

well there are lots of places you can get new ones if you want to pay that much for them.

just to let you know, here is the other cars you can use the fenders from...

if you have a sedan, hart top, or convertable, then you can use the fenders from a '71 or a '72 chevelle of the same type.

if you have a station wagon or el camino, then you can use the fenders off of a '71 or a '72 chevelle of the same type, plus a '71 or '72 GMC sprint.

The fenders end before the front clip, so I don't see why the amount of headlights should interfere with the fenders bolting on. I'm still gonna say that it should fit.

you can not use the 70's on a 71 or 72 because of the fender extensions that go around the headlights and are right in front of the fenders. the 71 and 72's dont have this, and i think they have a marker light there instead.
