Sometimes my truck has a problems starting. It has spark, starter's good. It's like it is not geting enough gas. But when it is running it runs great. I changed the fuel filter, that did not help. Could it be my fuel pump or maybe it is something else, like the throttle body fuel injectors. I'm looking for suggestions before I began just replacing things. Please help if this has happen to you. Thanx!!!

could be fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel pressure regulator, or leaky injectors. put a fuel pressure gage on it first and do some tests to find whats causing the leakdown. if you pinch the return line and it stops it's the regulator, if you can see fuel dripping in the throttle body - leaky injectors, most times pressure leaks back through the pump.
good luck

My truck doesnt start as quick and a little smoke comes out when it first starts. Its an 88 Silverado. Where is the Fuel Pressure Reg. and where is the line that i pinch???

I had a problem like that too. Mine was the fuel pump relay. When you turn the key (before trying to crank it over) you should hear a little buzz near the gas tank, that's the relay sending fuel, if you don't hear it, then there is a good chance that that's your problem. I don't know if that works for all year trucks or not, mine is a '90. A cheap $15 fix. I'm no mechanic, got the info from my bro who is, just saw something that may be of help to you.

Good luck,
Bobby
