Hi, im havin problems with my car. When im flooring the car in any gear, the engine will stall when i put the car up to 4k RPMs. It only cuts out for about a half second, then comes back to life, it goes back and forth for a while. Its really starting to get on my nerves. What kind of a problem is it? Pretty much the only engine mod is a 1st gen BOV, and a shitty air filter. Anyone have any advice, Plz help.

check your plugs and wires out. it can't hurt to change them either way. also make up a boost leak tester. You can get it on www.vfaq.com you might have a loose intercooler pipe or something like that. also maybe try cleanin up the injectors and stuff. It could be your fuel pump too. hard to say. I'm still learnin on this stuff too so I could be wrong. Good luck

Shit, lot to check out, but thanx. It sux checking out the engine because everything is so compact... my friend has a gs, and there is a ton more room, and then im lookin at a civic, and there is the block and like 2 pipes, and the rest is just free space... lol.

Just from personal experience, it sounds like the plugs and/or wires. Mine started doing that about a month after I got it so I freaked. Replaced the plugs and wires and it was all good. Thats just my experience tho.

This sounds less like a stutter or misfire, and more like fuel cut though. But you shouldnt see fuel cut with just a BOV and filter, unless you have some massive boost leaks. So do like every suggested here with the ignition stuff (plugs, gapped to .030, wires) and check for boost leaks (www.vfaq.com).
