for all americans, don't forget to set your clocks an hour ahead. personally, I wait for this day all year. Although the night life is great, that can start much later; I enjoy my sunshine.

And to not make this thread completely pointless, heres an actually interesting site on DST: http://webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/index.html

Hawaii too!

What a dumb idea, now I'll have to run the air conditioning longer in the evening. So Cal summers get really hot!

I oppose it. I just don't see the need for it anymore. Let's just pick a time and stick to it.

I know, I liked wakin up an hour later and sleeping an hour later. Anyone know why they use DST??? I read that it was used for farmers so they can start later an hour or something like that. I hate losing an hour, but I do like it when the time goes back to normal. Then you gain an hour

The longer the sun is out, the warmer it is.
And the sun is out the exact same amount of time no matter what numbers we assign to the hours. What's your point?

Daylight Saving Time can bite my ass. There is no purpose... the savings of energy are counter balanced every year when winter strikes.

Lighter later is my motto! I think we should spring forward one more hour and lock it in permenantly.

i dunno guys I kinda wish it was daylight savings all year, I hate it getting dark at 4:30 in the evening in the winter. now its light till like 9 or at least it will be in like a month. and i realize this isn't all due to dst, but an extra hour of light is ok in my book.

oh and you only lose an hour of sleep one night out of the year... so stop complaining, and it happens to be on a saturday so who cares. the only thing i can complain about is i lost an hour at the bar, not sleep.
