Along the same lines of last post, is there a Cabin Air Filter on a 1998 GMC 2500 4x4. Last years hunting season has left a strong smell of dust in the cab whenever the heater/AC is ran.

Look at these websites to get all the info you'll need. They have not figured out 2003 & 2004 quite yet. Found that the socket sizes may not be exactly right but they are close.

you'll probably have to take the duct apart and clean it out. it's probably full of leaves, dirt and other crap. theres a few deodorizer products you can spray in the vents but they don't help much if the a/c evaporator and heater core are jamed full of crap. compressed air helps loosen up dust and dirt but makes a hell of a mess when you turn the blower on.
good luck

I just cahanged the ones on my 99 GMC. It only took about 30 minutes and that encluded a trip to two auot parts for the filters. There are 2 in there. One in back of the first one. At Advance Auto they were $16.00 for the 2. One screw no matter how i tried would just not go back in. So other that that its a easy job.

I have a 99 Sierra SLT with the center console, do I have to remove that? I can't seem to get the cover off no matter how many of those screws i pull out :(
I also remember having a hell of a time getting behind it when i ran the power wire for my stereo.
