emergency brakes

okay i use my e brake kinda frequently for spinning and such and i think i've broken it. when i pull it all the way i cannot go into a slide, although it does give me some resistance. what part of the system did i likely brake?

maybe streched the handbrake cable,worn down shoes\discs,warp the rotors.worn down rotors.how are the foot brakes stopping

i'm an idiot they seem to work fine i only tried sliding once earlier today must not have been going fast enough

I have a question. Everyday when i go to my car. My emergency light is always on and i don't leave the my emergancy brake on. It goes away when i drive for a good 20 minutes already. Does anybody know the situation?
