Brake Fluid

The owners manual for my 2000 Accord says to use only Honda brake fluid. I want to flush out the old brake fluid since it's 2 years old now but I can't imagine Honda brake fluid is any different than the DOT3 or DOT4 found on your average automotive parts stores shelves? Should I bite the bullet and go to a dealer?
