The full-on ESX 740 setup becomes a monster street car capable of 0-60 mph times under two seconds and quarter mile times faster than 140 mph. Don't let the "740" badging fool you, ESX owner and race driver Ali Afshar claims the actual horsepower is above 800, thanks to a Toni Rigoli Performance-built EJ20 stroker engine boosted by Innovative GT72 turbocharger, top-mount intercooler, dual-stage NOS Nitrous Oxide system, MicroTech LTX-8 engine management chip, and an array of products from Subaru Performance Tuning. No matter what, it's cheaper then the bugatti veyron's $1.2 million price tag for 0-60 around 2 sec.

GDJ, that much power paired with an Auto tranny isn't as crazy as you think. "When you launch a manual, you put a sudden shock to the drivetrain which creates stress on the stock differential, therefore you need a stronger one to withhold the power. On an auto, you load your torque converter when you launch, therefore you aren't producing the tranny bustin stress when you let loose" (~Hotshot8792)
therefore more torque gets put to the wheels, and better traction. This + AWD = damn good lauches.

Yeah, but auto-tranny = no bueno on a track. If I have to turn, I want to be able to heel-toe.

thats pretty sick. i wish i had the time and money to put down on something llike that. its to badd that a good portion of that boost is probably niturs cus as a daily driver that could get a lil problimatic.

My love of the WRX+My stubborness=I think I just made it my life goal to build my car up like that.
