Deckplate vs. Removing Airbox Lid

I've been considering a deckplate mod but was wondering if thats any different then simply removing the air box lid. I've tried it without the lid a few times and notice a small improvement.
After I got my Flowmaster 50 muffler (Which I would recommend to everyone right after leaving the showroom floor) I didn't notice any real difference with or without the air box lid on or off. Would a deckplate mod be that much of an improvement?

no the deckplate mod doesn't make to much of a difference. you can see a dyno of it on gadgetoneline.com the exhuast doesn't make to much of a difference. The reason they do the deckplate mod is because it is real easy to open and close it when needed. Such as in water, etc.red
