:smokin: hey guys whats up .i have a question about my girls ls/vtec. what tranny should i put on gs-r or type-r because i have acess to both .and what the best turbo to use .the motor is done up and ready for turbo or supercharger. the car was dyno"d at 223 whp.and she wants more power to keep up wit me .so i came here since im really not a honda guy .i was thinking about going wit a drag stage 2 turbo kit.or jackson racing superchager. she has expirence driving fast powerful cars(mine sr20det 397whp 18psi) and she could handle. the body is 92-95 civic coupe suspension all done body too .and
she drives a stick good :iceslolan so gimmey some in put thanx ASAP

If she's going to be running around on a standard height honda tire (A 205/55/15, or 23.1" tall) a GSR trans would be a better choice, you will top out 4th gear at 128 mph, vs. the ITR trans where you would be topping out at about 119 in 4th gear, which means in an LS/VTEC turbo motor you might be switching into 5th with an ITR trans, assuming an 8500 redline. If you plan to run some 24.5" slicks, the ITR trans is the way to go.
Would you mind sharing some more details on the motor setup? What pistons, rods, cams, intake, and how much compression. Even without those variables, I would strongly recommend going with a turbo over a JRSC, as a JRSC isn't going to add a ton of power since it's non-intercooled and an inefficient power adder.

thanx for the help. ok the setup is 98 b18b block, 00 b18c5 head, itr pistons ,skunk2 intake manifold itt throttle body type-cams,fuel pressure regulator aem cam gear,koyo radiator, 300cc injectors,all pumps performance ,minor head work ,and for ecu its up in the air wit the tranny i was thinking of going with a spoon ecu if possible.v-afc controller , i waiting on lsd to choose oh and 6-puck clutchvalves were adjusted,umm.. better axles .i cant think of any else but there more. it dyned it and it pretty strong 223hp@142tq and said to run 12.0-12.3 @ the track. but its for my girl cuz i totaled her rsx with -type-r motor so im gooing to surprize for her birthday.the motor was fully tuned wit a gs-r tranny and ecu but i had a itr tranny so that why i asked .thanx for 4 the help :icon16:
