No and No.

GTS-t - RB20DET 2wd. I seriously doubt unless you want to build a dedicated drag car you would come remotely close to that sort of power with a 2 liter RB20 motor. Even if you did the block wouldn't take it.

I believe a GTS with an RB25DET is a better choice other than the GTR with RB26DETT... I'm sure I have seen or heard of a RB25 getting close to 800hp? I could be wrong. I'm actually swaying towards buying a used GTS than buying a GTR...

if your trying to scrape together some cash you might think about getting a GTS-t or a GTS4 and saving your money for an RB26. Some dude around here has an R32 GTS-t with an RB26 in it. According to him it went in pretty easy. From what I see on sunday nights that car is fast as hell too. Just doesnt launch like a GTR obviously because of the lack of 4WD. My question to you is this. What the hell do you really need 1000HP for? How much horsepower do you have now. "1000HP" sounds real cool untill you are getting tickets every day and replacing shit on your car like twice a week. Seriously. Be realistic man. 1000HP is overkill for a street car. Good luck though, let us know what you end up doing.

disclaimer- all of the above are nothing but my opinions, maybe there is a good reason to have 1000HP in a street car. I just haven't seen it yet.

1992 Honda Civic
Dude, 300-400HP is a good place for you to start for a street car. But yeah, get an engine with some more headroom so you can build it when you are ready.

i dont know if you can put the twin turbo on the 20det. maybe....but i dont know so it might be possible. do what my3rdskyline sugggested, check out the GTST or GTS4 and put a 26 in it. or...if all you wanted was the power, you can buy a 240sx and put a 26 in that, might save you some money.

Umm No the GTS does not come with an RB25DET. That is the R33 GTS25t model. Up to you but at the end of the day the RB25 block isn't anywhere as strong as the GTR block nor is the support cradle wich btw isn't interchangeable
