yeah....i guess the best bet for you is spray paint. mask off the parts you're not gonna paint, or try to get the parts out and paint them. go to home depot and i'm sure they'll have the paint you need. the more expensive route is to find a custom part that is that color. the shifter you can easily find colored. i hope you're not plannin to paint this some funky color tho.................

no the best paint for plastics is car model paint. they make it in spray cans in all kinds of metalic or gloss or flat. you can get them at any hobby store im pretty sure. but like i said its the only type of paint i would use simple because they are made for plastics therefore the paint will last longer

You guys ever try vinyl paint? You can get it at your autozone type shops. Much better finish IMO than regular paint.
Plastics seem to absorb it which ends with a more durable finish. You also retain the surfaces' texture becuase of this absorbtion behavior. So it looks like an OEM finish.
I've never tried it on interior parts but I'm guessing it would work just as well. Try it on an inconspicous area first!
The key is very very very light coats. Can't stress this enough. LIGHT COATS or you'll get runs. Plus you want the surface to absorb it too.

the only case when I'd really want to paint my interior is to hide a stain on the vinyl ;)
leave your interior color alone, cuz the factory probably knows how to color coordinate better than you.
