alternate blinker colors????

Just wondering if there is a law about what color your turn signals have to be, Im not a fan of amber, so I changed to a light blue color, I have since turned in front of a highway patrol man, and nothing happened. I also have clear bumper side markers, with clear bulbs, who knows, I doubt its a big deal but just though Id ask, if anyone knows? thanks,

Yes it is illegal to use differant colors..it depends on the cop on if he wants to pull you over

Your car came with the color markers for a reason. Its illegal to change the colors on the turn signal markers, break lights. I have noticed that not a lot of cops give a damn about it. However you still don't want to test your luck, because if its a DOT(Department Of Transportation) patrol unit who sees you with funky colors on your vehicle, he will stop you and not allow you to move the car meaning he will either inpound the vehicle, or make you get a tow truck. Thess guys all they do is check eighteen wheelers and other heavy trucks for faulty equipment, but they will stop regular cars. I have seen them stop people who have neon light under the car.

cool, I thought so, Im already back to stock, It looked kinda ricey anyway, On my car before I had clear bulbs in my park light sockets, which are also my front blinkers, when Im running park lights they are amber, but when Im blinking they are white, anybody know why they run amber when not blinking? I cant see any amber colored plastic in the housing, also my stock tails blinked amber, I have since put after market tails on, that are dot approved that blink red, so I guess its either red or amber! on the back. alright thanks for the help guys!

yeah, I wrote my state about it, and they said it's only illegal to have red or blue blinking lights on the front. there goes the two coolest colors...
