To my knowledge since G/C makes several different kits for Civics, I do believe they make one with springs specifically rated to closely match the valving of standard issue Koni Yellows. They are the only company to do this though that I know of. Supposedly they even make ones with mild enough spring rates to use with stock struts so that they have their life extended to longer than what they would have been at a higher rate. Call up G/C or email them to confim this though. Just stuff I thought I've heard/read along the way...
Coilover sleeves are basically lowering springs that come with a height adjustable perch that they sit on when on the car. True coilovers are a complete shock with threadings and the height adjustable perch built INTO them, and mated to a spring specifically designed to go with that particular shock/strut they come with.
