I am starting to face a delima with the internals of my engine.

I just need some advice

Should I just build up my b16b block or should I go for the 2.0l crv block and build that up.

Let me get this straight, you're asking if you should build your ultra rare and expensive engine for even MORE power output and one kick ass street car and show winner?

OR

Downgrade to a common B20 block and build that?

Is that really what you're asking?

see i know the popularity of the type r engine is big...but i think from what i read is that the type r can only go so far as in horsepower.
where as the b20 can provide a better power than the b16b

In the long run, probably and only because of the displacement. If you DO have the money (And seeing as you have a B16B, you do) Then building a CRVTEC and turbocharging it, yes it would be possible to extract more power than the B16B but is it really worth it? I've seen a turbocharged B16B that pushes 300hp and that's detuned cause the guy didn't want to risk damage to his precious B16B.

On the one hand, I'd say go for the CRVTEC swap, mainly because the cylinder head you'd need to make a kick-ass setup is currently in your engine bay AND with money it would rock.

On the other hand (And this one wins) Don't get rid of your B16B. If you want serious power and have the money, build the engine, get a GOOD Engine Managment System and get a decent sized turbo and you'll be making plenty of power for alot less than the CRVTEC build.
