Vibrations, Battery Light could this get worse

OK, first I have a 1990 Mercury Sable. Everything has been running fine up until a week or so ago. Now the steering wheel vibrates, and I don't mean a little shake here and there. I had my tie rods replaced in November, my Rack in December, and my tires rotated in February. I don't know what it could be.

Second, my battery light is on although I replaced the battery. It went off for a week then came back on. I am getting a new car in a couple months but need this one to last until then so if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Battery light on could be a multiple of things. First check your batttery cables, then the belt. If these are tight, the alternator may be going south or you just may have bought a bad battery.

Remember the Sears Diehard problems a few years back!

Paul, I'm not trying to be an ass or a troll or anything here, but look at the date on this post (4-2004). When you post a reply to an old post, it brings it to top of the first page of the category. Whoever had this problem has resolved it by now and has moved on. Please try to keep the posts of people actively seeking help at the front.
