When detonation is detected and the EEC removes timing to surpress it.. How long before full timing is restored??

Since no one is answering your post, I'll try to help...

On the stock PCM the KR recovery rate is 0.8 degrees per second, that's 4 seconds for every 5 degrees of Knock Retard. I believe that all the aftermarket PCMs (DHP, GPS, C-YA, Intense) have changed this value to be quicker. From what I've heard either 5 or 2.5 degrees per second, 1 or 2 seconds for every 5 degrees of KR - depending on PCM. Releasing the gas peddle will also restore timing to normal. Of course all this is if the engine stops sensing knock.

Best place for GP info is on the national ClubGP forum...
