Big Problem w/ RUBBING...Need Expert Help !

Alrite, I have a 01 accord. I put 17" rims, offset : 40+mm & size: 17x7 w/ yokohama tires : 225/45/17. My back tires rub like crazy when I have a person sitting in the back over little ditches and turns (and its at stock height). Basically it seems like my wheel is sticking out just a take bit wider than my fenders. I have tried bending in my fender with a baseball bat and also took my car to an auto shop to get the fender lip shaved off...but with no luck it still fucking rubs....its freaking annoying...I need some expert advise on this situation of mine..what else can I do ? is there a specfic offset i should have for my car? if so, whats the offset? new rims? new tires? does camber kit work? your help/suggestions are appreciated.

I think the 225 are just to wide go down to a 215 and the rubbing should go away!

I wouldnt go bigger than 205

Your car was designed for the stock wheel size. By putting in bigger rims you get less clearance( thats why you are bottoming out).You can either get a smaller wheel set or you can get better suspension. Stiffer springs etc or coil overs. Or go on a diet. :)
