I heard if you disconnect the water lines going to your throttle body and loop them, your intake charge will be colder. THis is because all the water lines do is heat up the throttle body.

Which heating your throttle body may be the best thing 6 months of the year, when it's freezing cold. Careful tho to re-connect in the fall because that throttle body will freeze like a perfect refrigerator

I have been running no TB water lines for some time, down to negative temps. The water lines are not there to heat the TB in the winter. They are there soley to open a wax bypass valve (very much like your thermostat) that will bypass more air by the TB plate to raise idle speed. ;) Even with it bypasssed I find it still idles high enough to warm up quickly because of the extra fuel that is still introduced as part of the ecus choke function. The only drawback is my BISS has to be pretty much completely closed to get the ISC motor to the center of its travel. But it does get the ISC to the mid 140s, which is right where you want it. ;) I did it just to have fewer lines to blow up, and make working on the car easier. Wether or not this mod is for you depends on you. The good thing is its not permanent, so you can always go back if it doesnt suit your needs. I wouldnt expect any pwoer gains from it though. Even if it did heat up the TB significantly, the TB is not a good heat exchanger and wont heat the air measurably. The air doesnt spend enough time in the TB anyway. But I know this is supposed to be worth a few HP on other cars like certain corvettes.
