2000 T&C Headlight Replacement

Greetings all:

I just purchased a 2000 T&C LXI, and I want to replace all of the front lamps and headlights, as they are all filled with water and/or condensation.

I received all of my replacement parts, and replacing the entire headlight assembly as a unit looks like it might be a bit tricky.

I see where there is a leveling or aiming bubble on the top of the lamp, but are their any other nuances I should be aware of before I tackle the removal and replacement of both lights.

If it matters, my set has the quad lights without the daytime running lamps.

Thanks for all of your help, and I'll keep you updated on my progress as well as the other repairs/improvements I will be making.

It's very easy to remove and replace the lens's. With the head lamps, there are 3 screw's or bolts to remove. One on the top, and 2 down the side right in plain view. Then the whole lens will come out. Once you reconnect your lights, just put it back in the reverse. As for the the balance for the lights, make sure your on a flat serface when you reinstall your lens. Then it should be no hassle to balance them off before you tighten your bolts. As for the parking lights, you have 2 + screws. one on the outside, and one one the inside after you take off the side marker. You have to pull the parking lamp with a slight tug. Dissconnect the plug and your home free. By the way, I hope you didn't buy these parts from the dealer. They charge way too much. I bought mine from www.chrysler-auto-body-parts-online.com or call them at 1(800)317-0016 You can get parts for half the price. Good luck

thanks for the reply and for the pay by play up on the lights. I did not get any of my lamps from the dealer, as they were incredibly expensive. Also, thanks for the link on the parts company, and for reference I found all of my front lights at www.rampowerparts.com

I just hope they all fit in there nice and flush, and from reading some of the other posts on the board, I should probably go ahead and update the lamps to some bright whites or something like it.

Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it.
