Van died today while out. Had to get tow home. Just put 1,500 into this van, tranny and many front end parts including the brakes, ALL new.

I think the fuel pump went since i cant hear it anymore.

These are the codes im getting.

1,2,1,1,5,5

Im getting 1 blink, then 2 fast, then 2 slow ones and then two 5's.

I have no idea what all this means and i dont have my book. Its packed and i cant get to it since its not here.

Thanks

Got the 11 cleared out. I had thought it was that sensor from when i did the tranny so i was cranking it today readjusting it. Cleared that code and now i only get 12 and 55. 55 is the end code, and 12 is the less than 50 starts code sincec battery has been disco'ed

So, cant hear the pump anymore. Other than pulling filter and seing if it pumps, what other way to be sure the pump is bad? The car did have some studdering once in a while since the tranny was finished.

You won't aways hear the fuel pump even when it is working do yourself a favor and do the filter disconnect. It might be that it is cloged up and not able to pump enough fuel thru it. Or need a fuel pump replacement but this way you will know for sure of one or the other and get a clean or new filter which is a good thing to have. Ride On, digimon

The filter isnt more than 2 years old, and we put very little miles on this car. I think we get maybe 6,000 a year. Anyways, i checked the current to the pump and went ahead and replaced it. It works great now. I found this great doc online which helped alot, http://www.allpar.com/fix/fuelpump.html

Rookie, What a great artical I have talked a few people thru it myself but on these forums I try not to be too wordy. I'll mark that sight for future ref. I always have people try the easy things first because if you did the replacement yourself you know how hard it can be. It sounds like you made it thru it just fine. The fuel pumps on these vans just don't seem to last very long I had to replace two on my 88' I finally got rid of it last year. Ride On, digimon
