Freeon is Low for my 68' stang HELP!!

Hey I need help, where can I find some freeon for my 1968 mustang or are the altertantives for the freeon.Thanks I could really use your guys' advice.

you can convert to R134A if you get all the old R12 out. Its not that great tough. R12 can still be bought, but its getting harder to come by.

I could be wrong, and probably am, but I thought that if you changed the freon from R12 to R-13a, you had to change some mechanical components of the air conditioner, like the evaporater or something.

Or is this something repair shops feed you to soak you for more money?

Conversions can be very expensive on some vehicles. I'd recommend fixing your leak and recharging the system.

You should do that, but theres a cheaper way to do it, results arent as good as changing the compressor or whatnot.

R134A is a lot cheaper and you can get it a lot easier. walmart sells the stuff.

So i just need to clean out all if any freeon in my car and put the 134a in right?
