My 1992 RS 3.1L will start and then run perfectly fine, but when I turn it off it won't start again unless I wait for about an hour and a half, longer if it's cold. i checked for spark and there is none, however everything seems to be just fine. Any suggestions?

It turns over and all. I hooked it up to a scanner and there were no trouble codes, hooked it up to a scope and it was running nearly perfect. Fuel pump is alright, the coil doesn't overheat. It's just when I turn the car off after driving it won't spark again until I wait for an hour or two.

check your distributor (if you have one, dont know much about the 3.1) and see if there is any warping on the cap or anything. might want to check the coil after you drive it awhile to see if it has any output. dont know what that would have to do with it, but what the hell, could be fun...

Took off the Distributor cap and the pick coil is fraying. I pretty sure that's the problem.
