does it really matter if i buy a 4 piece strut brace kit from ebay? would it be better to go brand name, cuz i don't think it's that big of a difference. i just like ebay cuz it's a hell of alot cheaper. thanks in advance.

Theres usually a reason why they're cheap.

Do you have a link to what your looking at?

i probably wouldn't get his set, because i'd rather have sway bars then tie bars. but something like this though.

id say as long as it is sturdy then it should be all good. Only thing it does is prevent body flex. The worst case scenario is that it would snap on a hard turn or just be decoration and not work. Nah it probably works since it is tieing the chasis together and preventing it from flexing.

In other words u should try it and if it doesnt work or breaks... thats only like one days of work gone to waste.

Nobody prolly buys it because everyone is going for show now days and looking for name brands.

Those strut towers are crap. Like several towers out there the bar and strut mounts are connected by moveable joints. Those joints defeat the whole purpose of preventing chassis deflection through the strut towers. Those pivots will still allow the chassis to "parallelogram" under hard cornering loads. Only buy towers with solid joints, like a mugen bar for example.

Those aren't oem whatsoever. OE bars are not bolted together and they don't have a poorly placed a Type-R sticker on em either. Take a look at a Mugen Strut Bar and you'll see the basis of a good bar.

There's always the Neuspeed upper front bar. That one is one solid piece, no joints, and they only cost about $120 brand new. Look at the 4-point model is the one I'm refering to.
