Says you, bud. When I was back at State, the food in the cafeteria was heavenly. In fact, I'd be very happy to get some of that shit right now.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm MSU food :D

The food at the dorm I stayed at wasn't too bad, but more repetative. Be thankful you have food to eat at all. Some people aren't fortunate enough to eat everyday.

I sometimes eat at the DePaul cafeteria and I must say, their burgers are pretty damn good.

man, college days in tech school, the cafeteria served healthy, wholesome food. Small town college. Never ate better, huge ass portions of everything. We were expected to eat like that. Now, its whatever I can cram in the cake hole while driving my life away to the next roadside service call...... ugh

At the first college I went to, the food was okay (not really) but what suck was that there was no variety. Same shit every day, and the pizza SUCKED!!! Marriot (of Marriot hotels) actually did the catering (if you want to call it that), so we started a trend : every time any body farted or belched, they would yell "MARRRIOTT!!!! :grinno:

My college has a good variety of food (George Mason University) we have the all you can eat ciao hall which serves pretty good food, not bad quality like most buffets. Then we got chick fil a, taco bell, selona grill, the bistro, and many others. I usually get chicken wings, chicken strips, mean genes burgers, waffle fries. Selona grill seasoned cajun fries are the best.

But the college with the best food has to be Virginia Tech, the london broil, best wings ever, taco salad, if you ate there you would know. Whenver I go visit my friends up there I eat a shitload.

i love the uni food, the nacho's are awesome, the beer is smooth, the hot wedges are kicking everyones ass, but the hot chips suck! They're so dry and...stale...

and everything is expensive to. I could get a burger and a coke for the price it costs me in petrol to get down there everyday and back (over 6 bucks, 100km)

There is a small cafeteria thing at VT by the Burger King side of campus (near the smoke stacks) that was pretty damn good, as I recall. Damn I miss that campus. I haven't been there in over 2 years now. :( Good times.

California Uni of PA has this AWFUL food service provider new this year. It's called AVI and every time anyone eats over there, it is bound to come straight out the other end very rapidly. My roommie and I call the phenomena PAVIS (post AVI syndrome, pronounced "payvees"). I guess I should be glad that Cal is doing their part to keep their students free of colon cancer....

see i missed out on housing at my school, so i commute.....:p yup home cooking.....:p....but that just means Soup in a can, unsalted Pretzels, and iced tea for lunch every day.....:disappoin

but from what everybody tells me at the dorms and whatnot....

the food there is horrible and that they'd really not want to eat it, but they have to.........food costs too much in Boston, and there'd have to be "Guerilla Warfare" tactics being applied to cooking Ramen in the dorm rooms

i actally kinda miss UMass food. Not the greatest by any means, but the thing is... you could go eat pretty much any time you wanted and there'd always be SOMETHING there. Nowadays i have to cook for myself, while althouhg the food is better...eh... cooking blows. A pizza in the oven or spghetti and meatballs is about as far as I'll go.

Although, if i catch some grrrl, and she wants to come voer for dinner... i'll cook her up something goooood :D

Here's an idea.
Learn how to cook instead of eating crappy cafeteria food constantly.
Even a pb&j is better than Taco Bell (which uses the same grade meat as in canned cat food).

some dorms don't allow cooking as it could pose as a liability if the dorm ever caught on fire because of a careless accident

'Yer kidding. That sux.
If there's even a BB-q pit or something around you could still grill up something.

I always hate to see how much food people just blatantly waste at college cafeterias. I'd see people with full plates of untouched food just thorw them away. It always made me so mad.

Meanwhile there's some homless guy standing outside watching them throw it all away.
