How do you make a 1989 Supra turbo a Twin Turbo?

Put on two turbo's, it's the biggest waste of money ever imadgined for a MKIII. A single larger turbo will make just as much HP, spool just as fast, and cost half the price with only half the hassle. You would need a custom manifold, custom IC pipes, and lots of extras. Also the 1jz-gte is a stock twin turbo I6 that came in JZA70's, but that's a whole different story.

if u want to do it you have to replace the manifolds pipes and everything else. i agree that it is a waste of money. it gives you more turbo lag because you have to spin two turbos. if you buy one bigger turbo it will spin a little bit faster.

Actually if you size the turbo's properly it should end up flowing almost the exact same amount of air, and also requiring almost the same amount of air to spool the twins. The problem is the cost, hassle, time, parts, basicly everything becomes twice as complicated and if something breaks it's usually going to be X2. Now if you just double the turbo's, say twin CT26's vs. a single CT26 then you would have rediculious amounts of lag, but again, a totally different story.
