I am trying to find out what a second hand stock turbo costs for a R33 GTST.

I have seen them advertised anywhere between $500 - $700 depending on how many miles they have on them. Are you looking to upgrade?

I think Pawel waz referring to the cost of the R33 turbo itself. Not the turbo from the R33.

Shit I'm dumb, Pawel make sure you spell it out to dumbasses like myself next time please. Get your act together fellas. :p

I need some sleep.

I was refering to my turbo of my R33 GTST my mechanic wants to buy it of me as I have rebuilt my motor to a RB30 with RB25 head and a massive Turbonetics turbo which blew up after running only 700kms running miniumum 15psi boost I have been told it's a fault in the turbo. Only managed 3 laps around Summernats.

Give Just Jap or SSS automotive a call. They normally have plenty in stock for a great price.

Thats is shit about your new turbo. How was the Nats?

Oh sorry m8, normally when ppl post like that they meant the whole package, eg. the whole car with turbo.
I didn't know this was one of this question. :silly2:

My mechanic was Micks Motorsports in Milperra he is really good not his fault the turbo blew up he his getting to the bottom of it now. The car should be making 500hp+. Also what is the cost of a Oil catch can in polished aliminum? I might trade my mechanic my old turbo for that work any suggestions?

catch cans are 2-300 jms have them and I sure mick's metalcraft do make them not sure what else you need you pretty well have a hamburger with the lot I would love to see some pics of your ride.
And I can sympathise with the hassles of a major rebuild of a car I went through one not long ago on mine.
buy the way what boost did the turbo come in at?

I will have some in a few days by the way the turbo company has taken full responsibilty for the turbo failure saying the oil channels were too small in the turbo.
Getting a new turbo with same specs but fixed. I will also post photos of the car in a few days it now has a full Nismo 400r kit front side back skirts still waiting on the wing and bonnet. The car will make well over 450hp at the wheels with stock plenum.
Cost so far including bodykit $21000. People are saying why I didnt get a t76 turbo problem is take the summernats there was a GTR with a massive T88 Turbo he made 650+ hp at the wheels but on the road he would not even get boost until 3rd gear I would already be 300 metres up the road. I built my car for the best road drivability with good power. My car should do flat 11's all day but I am not interested in drags plus if I was I wouldn't build a skyline for it anyway any car with LSD is no good for serious drags I mean sub 10's.

I think you are fine your horse power should be very ample :-)
and you have to live with it I think a t76 or T-88 have there place as well but the rb30 doesn't like to much rev's over 8k so your better thast way my rb20 will make close to 190 rwkw and no t3/4 hybrid or t4 here just a plain t3.
cheers

My car before the new bodykit.
Now all I need is tinted windows and good suspension I have been told somewhere in Kirawere wrong spelling I think it's near Sutherland.

There looks like a good suspension place in the Auto Plaza in Kirrawee. I drive past and gets some details for you in the next day or two. It looks pretty good (never judge a book!!!!) I always se good cars out the front getting work done.

Ben
