I just went to my insurance guy today...and he had it coded as a 019 car, whatever that means (a Sentra GXE is coded 014). And since mine did NOT have ABS the payments went up $10 a month.

There's the low down:
2002 Spec V - Black - No options or ABS

$125 a month, which is only $25 more a month than my 1998 Ranger - both were full coverage. SHELTER INSURANCE
I also have several "perks" to lower my insurance.

I have 91 Sentra SE (no R) and am paying abt. $60/month for comp/collision (full coverage). The most important thing is to find a GOOD agent. Mine is very creative. Found lots of loopholes for me. Also, I have had 1 ticket and 1 accident (not my fault, rear-ended at stop sign by guy going 20mph looking backward), but neither has shown up on my insurance.
I know it's stupid to have full covg. on a car w/ 183.5 k miles, but I kept having dreams where my car would be stolen or someone would set it on fire during the night.

Not only is it running, but it starts happily up every time no matter what the weather. I've only had it for the last 21k miles, but during that time the only non-maintenance repair was the water pump. Seriously, they last forever and prior to the pump prob. it leaked nothing. Now that it's fixed there are no leaks again. It was maintained, but never religiously throughout its life. (Change oil every 4,000-5,500 miles or thereabouts). The paint is all still there (black), the interior is near mint. Do you realize that 183.5 k miles (actually it turned 184 today) is equivalent to a person sitting in the driver seat and not getting up for 255 days? I am amazed at the durability of this car. I am sold on Nissan forever and my next ride will be a Sentra or Altima or G20.
