Hello all.
I recently bought an 87 Toyota Supra Turbo for around $300. The car runs great, drives great, and looks like a hunk a rust...well, it looks okay for an old Wisconsin car. So I have been toying with the idea of rebuilding, however I have to fix the gas tank first. It is leaking out of the front left corner of the seam. I have been unable to find a new gas tank anywhere and the only other option I know of is to do an internal sealant. I have heard they don't work so well. I have also heard of polytanks but I cannot find any info on them. Any suggestions or luck with a similar problem?

This is one of those "depends on how much skill you have" questions, if you want an aftermarket poly/fuel cell then you'll have to fab up mounts, lines, everything. If you want to use the sealant you'll have to drop the tank, drain it and get all the gas out. Then you can put in coat, after coat, after coat of tank sealer. If your asking this then I'm going to say your best bet is to buy a used good condition MKIII tank, look on supraforums (MKIII parts for sale section) for anyone parting out a MKIII localy or within whatever distance and then drive there and pick it up, you will not be able to ship it. You should be able to pick one up for next to nothing since nobody ever needs one.
