I want to know how many miles are on your car. Prelude that is. I have seen many people posting about they miles and their car is running just like the first time they got it. So if you would post your miles of you car. I think it would be fun to see the range.

Currently i have 166,255. And still growing everyday.

My 1988 is sitting at 92,000 real miles. It sat for a very long time becuase the person who owned it before me couldnt get fuel to the intake. He replaced lots of things. Finaly he got fustrated and gave up. I bought it for $250.00 and replaced the fuel cut off relay and it fired right up. Needless to say he was pissed off.

Good find..
All of the best cars I have owned have been under $500.00 and low milage. I find alot of parked barn cars in Iowa and I hit the auctions. I have been very lucky. The cars I find are in fair to good shape.

So what do you do? Just go ask people how much they want for the car sitting in the barn you just meandered through the night before? Just kidding.. I really do want to know how you find out about these cars though..

I think most of the cars you would see are just sitting in a open field. Couple of my friends saw a older mustang nothing special but a car that ran 800.00 bux.
Maybe ask you parents friends or something like that get the word around that you are looking for a car something in good shape yeah and all of that.

It's tough in washington, because everything sitting outside here is rusted to hell. My dad always catches wind of good deals like this though..

my 1997 SH just hit 100,000 miles, and I'm now averaging a little more than 20K/year. I love it more every day and it contines to smell and drive like a new car. Nobody belives me my car is over 6 years old.

LOL, if Veetec HADN'T changed his oil, wouldn't that have been a real testament to Honda Engines!! ;)

and Playlude, I'm close. '90 with 260k on it, the valves smoke at the top end but it runs like a sewing machine. I'm about to pull it and do some tinkering with it, unless someone could recommend a farily simple upgrade swap for a '90 Si.

i can't believe i never posted about this kid before.... i had a buddy in high school who traded 2 four wheelers and a moped (ha, that still makes me laugh) for a 87 lude with 243k. (this was like 6 years ago). the car still had the original motor and trans. (1 owner) the car ran fine, but this kid couldn't leave anything alone. i remember him tearing the top end of the motor off a few times (i didn't know crap about cars then, so i have no clue what he was doing) and he got that thing running like a champ. anyhow he wrecked it, and just smashed up the fender a bit, so he took it off. well... the point i'm trying to get to, is that he sold it a couple years later with 270 something K, in 2000. four years later, i still see that car driving around, still without a fender, on quite a regular basis. the really funny part is. it has to have over 300k, and is now proudly sporting an aluminum spoiler, and a nice ricey muffler. (i think i would of bought the fender first, myself )

oh yeah, and as far as how hard he ran that lude. lets just say it went off road on more than one occasion

Prelude 92 , completely stock, original engine just hit 40,000. I know its hard to believe, i'm the second owner, was nervous when buying 2 years ago with 23,000 miles but ran carfax and it checked. All odometer numbers line up perfectlly too. It truly is one of a kind and I'm confident to say it is the lowest mileage 92 fourth generation in the world!!
