custom interior pieces

the headliner on my gs if full of holes :uhoh:. I was thinking about taking it out and using the backing as a mold for making a smoothed fiberglass piece. Then painting it to match my car :evillol: . Also wondering about custom kick panels for speakers :smile: . I am fairly familiar with fiberglass, and paint but maybe some of yall have already done this stuff. any help would be appriciated

You can buy a fiberglass headliner for 100+ shipping and a CF one for 275 shipped. Just letting you know, but if you know how to do it yourself and you want to, go for it :)

When I take out my rear seats, I think I may fiberglass that area.

yeah, I thought of a kick a__ idea for a showcar. make the front seats flipback so you would sit on the seat back facing the rear of the car. then rip out the back seats and do a custom enclosure for a big screen, playstaion and all that crap. bear in mind NONE of this will be in my car i.e. low cash, too heavy, not my style. but for a show car that would be sharp. but it has probably been done. hell I don't even have a sub. :cwm27:

That actually is against the rules. However creative and kick ass that would be... you can't compete with a car that isn't driveable. "if the vehicle can not be driven onto the show field (even if trailored) it may show, but may not compete in any NCCA competitions." That is taken out of the NCCA rulebook for 2004. Basically it means if you can't drive the car, then you can't show the car. I don't know how you'd drive it if you weren't facing foreward. Either way, it is a dope idea, and would be perfect for anyone who might be showing one of those new honda suv thingers or a van! Good idea bro

no, no, set it up to drive like normal, but make the seats flip back (pivot on the rear of the seat frame with some kind of actuator when parked possibly remotly. that would clear up any rule problems right? like I said just a thought. and you could probably get it to recline while in that position with the stock recline lever. that would be pretty cool if thats your kinda thing

check out this months b scene mag there is an eclipse (spyder I guess) with more tv's than a walmart. this guy is :screwy: he's got a big screen in the back that pops up. i wish i had that kind of budget to spend on my motor and tranny. now that would be mmmeeeeaaaannnnnn. :evillol:

it's a blue eclipse spyder with an s15 front end conversion and a s2000 tail conversion. it's an overrated waste of a car. yes.. it has more tv's than any single house in the usa. for cryin out loud he's got tv's in the wheel wells. how retarded is that? but.. it's only show and he doesn't pay for any of it. he's sponsored out the wazoo. I like show cars.. but thats just dumb.

hey, just a thought but would it be cool if i put some LCD screens in the wheel wells so when i'm tooth-brushing the dirt off my shocks i can watch fast and the furious 1 and 2 [back to back of course]?? i just think that would be the superest ever. oh, and 2 more in the engine bay because that is totaly necissary [sp?]. ;)
