99 revell civic, AMT 70's elcamino

these are my 2 current projects. A 99 Civic junkyard, it was a scrap heap when i started to redo it, but now it is nice, the front is a 99 integra but i dropped 2 of the headlights and i couldnt find them so i molded civic headlights back into the teg front end. and it is now primered and ready for a paint job.

the elcamino is a AMT it is a 70's not sure of exact year, but has a 402 supercharged big block. the body was in great shape, i found the car in a box, i have so many models and parts from years ago, and this one was in a few peices and just needed minor work. so i am finishing it up also.

the elcamino looks good, but man that civic is fugly,lol. what was the point in putting the teg front end on if it was gonna have civic headlights? are ya gonna cf the civic since your such a pro at it? :grinno: :loser: :lol: . sorry dont mean to bash on ya. but get some taste.

Actually, the El Camino is a 1968. AMT first released that kit in 1997 during their heyday with John Mueller as the chief of the tooling department.

I'm using the blower setup on a 1969 Corvette coupe's 427. Pretty sweet piece if you ask me.

thanks, the civic is not all that bad, no i wont CF it becuase for 1 i odnt have a hood, and the reason i remolded headlights was i dont have a civic front n i lost the teg headlights.

thanks layla, the elcamnio i plan to keep clean and moderate. when i found it in a box i had, the windows were gone intioer wheels, it was all over, so i went throught some pieces, found the tires and wheels, and sanded the body, shaved handels, little things, and then primered it. but lucky i found all the pieces it just needed some glueing and repainting work, the interior will recive new seats, a custom dash, and all

sorry man i wasent trying to be an asshole but i just dont see the point, it whould be off the chain if you whould have left the teg lights in it, i am very sorry for my rudeness. you say you dont have a hood? if you pay shipping i will send you a hood if you need one, i even have 2 that are already cf'ed. but i also got one thats untouch as i built a sas veilside civic and used the veilside hood. pm me if you want it.

it is ok jdm, i have a teg hood and a civic hood, but when i cut the teg hood i messed up, plus the car will be red and it will match the motor bay. i am gonna paint soon. maybe this weekend

i need a color for my elcamino, it was originaly silver, and i think it looked nice silver, so i might do it silver agian, but any other sugestions.

Id like to see some nice shiney silver on the el camino. I have been a big fan of that generation el camino, and the 402 sounds sweet. Im not too keen on the whole civic, but we'll see when you post it.

i would really like to start fresh, that civic was crapp!! the body was horrible, i think i might part it out and get a 92 HB, and build it, salvaging something as bad as the civic was was a dumb, it is beond repair, tomrow i might go to the hobby shop
