The a/c blower on my 99 suburban will just stop blowing air, usually within a few seconds it starts blowing air again. I'm curious to know if anyone knows what the problem could be.
Thanks,
Debbie

Is any other thing failing at the same time??
I'm not sure if the '99 blower motor(s) is fused or on a circuit breaker. It sounds like a circuit breaker getting weak. Look in your fuse box for a circuit marked A/C or Fan. If a plastic (normal) fuse, you probably have a loose wire in the system. If it's like a metal fuse. It's probably a circuit breaker and needs replacing.

The problem actually started with the fan speed knob. Half of the time when I turned the fan spped control knob to the two highest settings it would stay on the lower settings and if I took the knob off and pushed up on the peice that the knob goes on the two higher speeds would work. Then I would be driving along the the it would just stop blowing air, it would come right back on. Then it started going off and taking longer to come back on. Right now when you turn on the fan control knob no air blows through the vents. It doesn't work on heat either. I also have rear air and the fan works just fine with it. Also, while the fan was blowing air it was cold air. Not a problem with that.

Sounds like the problem is in your switch or the connector to your switch.

I had same problem with my 99 this fall....
Go to a GM dealer and get new fan control switch and new wires and plug for it.I think around $60-70.Once you take out dash bezel its pretty easy.Do not let someone talk you into buying a new "control head" .You do not need it ! If you have a parts store that sells AC delco its even cheaper.Mine has worked perfect ever since.
Go to acdelco.com and you can look up all the parts you need....
