what kind of exhaust????

i have a 98 gtp and i have magnaflow universal mufflers and they sound like a pissed off bumble bee and i hate them. now i was either thinking flowmaster or borla. so i was wondering what would be the best brand and type for a good price. I was thinking flowmaster 80 series, but someone told me 40 series. :eek7: ??????????

I think the Borla arent loud enough. The 40's seem to be a popular muffler for the GPs

how do Hooker sound??? a guy that owned a performance shop told me 40 series, but i didnt know if he was just trying to sell something. i just dont want anything that will sound like a pissed of bee :banghead: .

i have slp loudmouth..the loudest i've heard on a gp. you can see straight through the mufflers. sounds really good too. if you were going for either borla or flowmaster 40's..id say the 40's. they have the highest flow and are the loudest from flowmaster, next to their drag mufflers. my brother hated his super turbo on his 4.0 cherokee so he had a 40 series put on..damn thing is twice as loud and sounds a whole lot better.

i actually have pep-boy brand...but they still sound very nice on my car...i have 3A dual-tip DTM-style...i paid $110 for it...straight thru-muffler...3A claims 50-state street legal, and i've taken off normally around cops before...meanin givin it a good bit of gas, but not enough to spin tires, and none of them have done anything...it doesn't sound like the honda's u hear on the road...which is probably what urs sounds like, since u said "pissed off bumble bee"...the 3A Dual DTM has a very deep tone...especially at lower RPMs...so...its up 2 u...i think the flowmasters would probably be a good choice also

o ya n btw...i have a '92 LE...but i dont think that matters much...they'll prolly sound pretty much the same...
