My TB spooges gas!

Ok, so ever since we bought our '03 Trailblazer LTZ, every time we fill the tank with gas, a bunch of fuel spooges out of the filler neck about 1 or 2 seconds after we pull the pump out. It's not a little trickle either, it's like a cup-full of gas. I was just wondering if anyone else here has experienced that problem. We recently took it to the dealer for some other maintenance work, and they told me they had a fix for the fuel thing. So just as an FYI to anyone else who has the problem, there IS a fix for it, and it's about an hour long job that requires the replacement of a couple of hoses. Hope this helps someone out.

Mine does only when I try to "pack it". 18 gal. is too small of a tank for a truck that size. :screwy:

Yep! The ext has a larger tank and some regular TBs are coded with a somewhat larger tank. But my book says 18.7 gal. I have driven with miles left a "0" and the fuel warning light on and managed to pack in only 18 gal. Still, the range was over 360 miles. Would be nice if it could go 400. But when I have the "old ball and chain" we are lucky to get 100 mi. before we have to stop, if you know what I mean.

Hmmm, I've filled up after the fuel warning light, and have routinely gotten 20+ gallons in my LTZ? is my gas station ripping me off?
