96 Grand am aftermarket guages will they work

My guages in my 96 GA were going crazy and have finally burned out.
The dealer wants $400 for a new one and a junk yard wants $100 for
one with 100,00 miles onit. I figure it is probably ready to burn out as well, since this is the second one ive gone through.---Do you think an
afrtermarket set of guages will work-- they say they will, but I know how
specific the system is.
please advise.

I have a set of euro gauges in my 97 and they work fine
