When you work with photo etched parts - like Studio 27 -, do you actually paint some parts that are not not silver or metall in real life or do you just go with the shine and keep them unpainted. If you paint them, what´s the best type of color to do so? Acrylic or enamel - paints?

Paint the etch parts if they are supposed to be colored, and use any kind of paint, just don't bend the part after it's painted or the paint will likely flake off.

I would think that enamel is your best bet

When I paint PE parts I scuff up the surfaces with very fine sandpaper.
I used MM enamels on a bunch of stuff I did in the past, and while cleaning cars last weekend all looked fine. Some are almost 10 years old...
