In Progress - SAS N-Style R34

Here is a sample photo of the Tamiya R34 with the excellent SAS N-Style body kit. I am trying to make the Meanest R34 I can using the base road model. The rims are Aoshima Racing Hart's inside Pegasus rims. Paint is Tamiya Black polished then covered with Matt Varnish for the Mad Max Interceptor look.
What do you think?

Looks Great, but can you take some outside photos, to show that matt finish better.

cool idea what do you have planned for interior? etc. i really like matt finished cars

the matte finish looks good, yes outside pictures would be nice. keep us posted on progress

i did a matte finish with my BMW Z8... this one is definately better tho... great job

The pegasus rims say 23" but I reckon they are more like 20" rims in 1/24 scale.

I think you should add a wing. The body kit would loose some of it's agressiveness without one. If you had a C-West type, I think that'll work.

this is probably the most badass skyline i've ever seen! i'd say add a nice gt wing.

Did you paint the tyres, cause they look alittle light, don't get me wrong it is cool as hell and it kinda makes the rims stand out. Man that is fricken sweet.

I should have the model completed this weekend although I am still undecided about the wing option. I have a set of C-West wings from SAS but the car looks SO tough without one. :screwy:

wow that looks very nice! the red seats are a nice touch and the chassis looks fantastic.

The car is basically finished just need to attach the side mirrors and some other small touches. The sun was setting so I quickly took some pics. I decided to make the outside rims polished as it really sets off the SAS brakes. I also have an SAS C-West wing ready but still not sure whether it needs one? :dunno:

if you decide to put a ´wing on it... do not use the higest one... use the midle one... it might fit that car. but i think it looks great with out it=)

I agree with spoolin. It looks so aerodynamic atm. No obstructions from back to front. Leave it wingless.

but "aerodynamic" with no spoiler when talking about a car that has a wind tunnel factory wing...that's reaching.

You know what would seriously set this car off is if you painted the front bottom lip semi-gloss black. It's such a subtle thing but it would really look good. I think the factory rear spoiler would look awesome. Chris and I agree, it's born with a wing.
