I'm now a college student and I was thinking about getting the Evo, but then I saw the G35. I think both cars are really nice. Evo's way faster and a better performer, but the G35 is more luxerious not to mention more expensive too. I think now that i'm in college i'll eventually grow out of superfast cars like the Evo, but i'm not sure. I know this is purely preference but I would still like to know your opinions. Thanks.

like you said the evo has the performance but it's very flashy; almost tacky. i like the clean, handsome styling on the g35 better. plus there are aftermarket parts galore becoming available for vq35 equipped vehicles, nismo cams, greddy turbo, stillen s/c, headers, exhausts, pulleys. so the power/performance defecit can be made up if that's important to you.

I'm pretty sure that the G35 was only .1 sec or so behind the EVO 8 in most comparison tests I've seen, and usually the G35 blew by it up top IIRC. I'd go G35 all the way.

i would also go for the g35. it might be a little bit slower, but 1) it looks a lot better imo 2) it is rwd and 3) it has 2-doors. those are all very big pluses in my book. and another thing, it is closely related to the 350z (engine and styling), and i love z cars.

Wasn't it based off some version of the skyline? Excuse me if I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, imports aren't really my thing. :D

i would get the g35... yes the evo is great... my friend has one and it feel great inside one, but even he himself said that it is annoying to drive in traffic... there i very little torque at low rpm... so you might get to 4k rpm the turbo kicks in and then u have to stop again... which gets old FAST... so... if u are on the highway the evo is fun.. in traffic, the evo is annoying... this was also mentioned in a magazine article... thats why i would get the g35 because the torque is there with its 3.5L displacement... it also looks nicer in IMO.... and like some people said, has a lot of aftermarket stuff out already

Dude, go for the G35, it's sleek, sexy, luxurious, and it DOES have speed. I'd take it over an Evo in a heartbeat. But, then again, that's just me.

yeah it's the modern equivalent of an RWD skyline, like a gst. just wait til the R35 GTR comes out.

The G35 is the more sophisticated car, by far. However, I think that different people have different needs. A younger guy interested in speed would surely want the Evo. I think though that the G35 is by far the more complete car.

Umm.. Tough quoestion...Even though EmeraldPrelude is right about the fact that the G35 is more sophisticated, and I do not really trust Japanese engineering too much(no offense), I would still pick Evo VIII due to the fact that I have always enjoyed cars with a sporty spirit than a standard sedan
