B16A swap into 88-91 CRX

I've got a few questions concerning this swap. First ones concern the car itself. Is the 88-91 (4th?) gen. CRX F.I. in all models or just in the Si like the previous gen? If so, would I be able to use a DX or HF with the same ease as an Si? Did the chassis change from ?-87 to 88-91? If so, which gen is easier for the swap. I have found a cheap 88-91 so I am planning on using that for B16A if I wont have a hell of a time getting it in there :). Now onto the engine. What are the differences between the JDM B16A from the SiR 1 and the USDM B16A from the 'Teg? If anyone from CT has experience with the JDM B16A, do you know if it will pass emissions? Thanks folks!

I think you woud have problems with the engine mounts in this crx.
THis site will have good information for you:

Tells you step by step how to do the whole thing, I did the swap myself in a day and a half... taking my time drinking lots of beer. haha

Mlodsin... What they are saying in that tech site is that you can't bolt the motor up with the SI-R or stock motor mounts. What they were simply saying is that the only way to bolt it up is with a Bolt in motor mount kit or a weld in Kit. I bought my motor mounts for the left and right side for 200. They were telling me it uses the stock rear mount. I am still doing my swap so I will see how it bolts up in the back. I heard its a pain in the ass....

Dude the SiR mounts will NOT work.
You NEED a kit. Screw welding, it will break.

Get the mounts, or deal with the problesm you're gonna have.
Also, dont forget the 90 Integra rear motor mount bracket, you need it.

But a ZC will bolt directly on with stock mounts, correct?

Yes it will... I would get a ECU with it though because the stock CRX ECU tremendously holds back its power potential with a rev limiter, etc...

You will like your CRX to have a B16. It's pretty basic besides you need to get a mounting kit. My tires have troubles gripping the street when I race and sit there and spin. You'll want to throw on some cheater slicks at the same time as you drop the motor in.

Well yeah it would be great to have a B16 but you have to understand that not everyone has the money to do so. A Zc will bolt in but with a B16 you will have to do more than just a motor mount kit. you will have to run 4 wires to the ECU, get the motor mounts, shift linkage and also get Axles. There is alot more work involved with the B16a but the results are very rewarding. You can go with a ZC and buld on that.... or you can start off doing more work and spending more money but you start off fresh with 160 HP! Your choice!

Just because of money issues, I am going with the ZC and will slowly prep it and turbocharge it. Thanks for all your help guys :).
