Why kind of exhaust sounds real good on a 94 z28. I am looking for really loud but also some tone. Also do you guys thing that $9500 is a fair asking price for a 1994 Z28 with a six speed manual and 59k miles? Let me know guys. Thanks

for a 1994 the price seems a bit high, try this (http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.urt?kbb.FL;958139;FL117&32750;spt;p&1617&Chevrolet;Camaro&) . but about the exhaust, my mom has 97 ws6 with flowmasters and it's sound is perfect.

Your mom drives a Ws6?????? You lucky bastard, if only I could get my mom to trade in her ford for one of those.
by the way, $9500 for a 1994?????? :eek7: thats waaaaay too much man, and i'm sure almost everyone will tell you this. AS for the exhaust, also, everyone will tell you something different but i'm sure majority will agree that on an LT1 the best exhaust with most bite, if you can afford it, is the SLP loudmouth or a Borla. Like I said though, thats if you can afford those as they're really expensive. Flowmaster isn't too bad though and not too pricey.

If you want good sound and great looking, I'd go with the 93-97 Camaro Cat back exhaust from SLP. It the two on the left like the 96 and 97 SS's came with...........Seems a little high on the price... You can get a 96 Z conv for that price.

I have the Borla Exhaust which I love but my friend spent alot less than me on his hooker super comp cat back and it sounds just as good although I would never tell him that and he seemed to pick up the same amount of horse's as I did

my mom drives a taurus.. I can get a 94' Z here for less and I live in canada..
SLP loudmouth, or Borla Catback is the way you wanna go.. Flowmaster sounds nice but not as loud

Flowmaster cat back systems are way louder than Borla systems, but borla just sounds more throaty

my friend and i waited outside in a wal-mart parking lot next to a wicked 97 ss that we knew was driven by a woman cause of how far up the seat was. waited a good 15 min just shootin the shit waitin for what we hoped was a rediculously hot chick...turned out to be a 40 year old woman driving her husbands maro, i was sad...
but on the flip side, thats too much for a 94...

I listened to a Borla catback ( w/ flowthrough tailpipe) on an LS1 and it was quite a bit louder than most flowmaster systems ive heard.. Theres a Db chart hangin in a competition muffler here in the city that shows the level of the most popular performance mufflers, Borla was quite a bit higher then flowmaster

We are talking about the LT1 though and I can tell you for sure as I own the Borla system its loud but in no way louder than the FLowmaster system

What plate do you have in your tailpipe?

I have the 2 1/2 but even with no plate I'm telling you the Flowmaster system is still louder, I have a friend with less mod's than me and he has a 3 Inch catback system in 94 Z28 and his car is without a doubt louder

Thanks for all your help guys, What do you think about a 99 SS with 67k miles and 4.10 gears, headers, new tires, chrome rims, and an $1800 stereo system for $13,000 bucks? Is that worth it?

kbb.com said it was worth 12.3 thousand, but that is with some options that it might not have, but with new tires and the stero it is probobly worth it.
