I was wondering a quick question. Do I polish between different colors? Right now I just laid down silver and Blue is next. So my question is do I polish the silver before I paint the blue???

Polish between, and after, so you get the clean and shiny look!

Not sure about this as your second colour paint may react with the polish residue you leave behind. I would be inclined to paint your second colour before polishing. :2cents:

I didnt think that I needed to polish beacuase of the residue left behind like Verminator said and because maybe a polished surface wont give the blue a good surface to stick to.....

Really?
2 problems, if you use a compiound it will leave residue and you are screwed, unless you use Meguires #17 that is paintable ( or equivalent )
and the next coat needs a bit of tooth so that it adheres well, if you polish it too much you will have problems with the top coat.
I only sand - repeat sand with a 3200 or 3600 grit cloth if and only if I get horrible Orange peel. If there is a small amount it is no problem, do the blue and then clear coat it and then polish out any orange peel you may have.
Always put clear coat over silver if you need to sand, sanding will change the color and make it very unevenGood Luck

You are welcome, sand very lightly if needed but otherwise keep on spraying. What are you painting? Post some pics when its painted.
Peace

Painting an S2000 for my aunt. Shes got one in Suzuka blue and the only way was either to paint it with Tamiya Silver Leaf and Pearl Light blue or this avignon blue duplicolor. So I found the silver first. Ill try to get pics up when the blue is done.
