well im planning on buying a 97 3000gt SL in the next month or so, and i know this guy who can get me one at an auction for a much lower price than i would here in town. The problem is that most of those cars have salvage titles on them do you think that will be a problem or should i just buy one with a clear title. i know people who have bought salvage cars and they've had no problems with them, except they werent 3000gts. WHAT DO YOU GUYS SUGGEST I DO????

I bought my 95 SL at an auction and it was kind of banged up. It has a salvage title and I've never had a problem with her. You won't be able to sell it for as much as a car with a clean title but I personally don't have any problem with anything about them. And if you can get it for cheaper, then why not. You'll have more left over to mod it out ;)

The only problem I can see arising is if you don't get a chance to thoroughly inspect+ test drive the car. If its a salvage title, I(personally) would be more hesitant and want to check out everything before commiting to buying it. I don't know much about auctions though..so if you get the chance and you are confident with the car, then go for it and save some money. If you don't...then it's really up to you...sorry that probably doesn't help much.
