Track rules...

I was reading through the 2004 NCCA rule book and I noticed something that said a car cannot run on a track if it has shaved door handles or a verticle door kit. Can anyone verify this for me? That would be a serious bummer for me because I'd love to start going to the track but I have both of the above mentioned mods. Can anyone tell me what the exact rules are? thanks...

I know 100% for sure NHRA rules prohibit shaved door handles.

If your car is on fire, they need a way to get inside to rescue you. I think that's why.

Makes sense. I fugured it was somethin like that. guess I'll just have to hold off a little on shaving the handles. I'd really like to see what my car can do with the mods I have now. then I'll just have to give it my best estimate after I do the rest of the body work. Thanks for the input.
