I gave a shot trying out realistic chrome using the Omicron meth. Came out pretty nice. Not much in the way of crazy bodywork because this was a learning exercise and I've been pretty busy with school and such so no time for photoshop... This is the first thing I've done in PS in months and probably the last thing I'll do until summer break :grinno:.. anyway let me know what ya think
later

It was posted in a thread over on PSC.. I just tried to see if I could replicate it. Basically its just
select the parts of the car to chrome with the lasso, copy paste to new layer, change 'normal' to 'screen' in the pulldown on the layers palate, create a new layer on top and change that from 'normal' to 'overlay', paint whatever colors as needed (blue on top for the sky, green for grass/trees, black for asphault whatever etc), use the sponge to desaturate the bottom layer if theres excess color, merge down and go adjust->levels and move the right part over to the center.... I think thats about it. Oh yeah I copied/pasted from a picture of trees in some spot because there wasn't enough reflection in the original... Black/grey cars with alot of reflection work best

Great work and wonderful finish.
I'll try out your tips as soon as possible.
Is it me or does the side of the car look a bit twisted just above the doors; perhaps too much reflection?
