I think 17 inch wheels are the biggest wheels a car needs unless you get some ultra-light 18 inch wheels otherwise they are just extra weight you have to carry around that reduce your performance and mpg.

That looks beyond horrible. I'm sorry, but anything bigger than 19s are pushing it on a Mustang(or almost any other car for that matter). Only thing 22s look somewhat decent on are Hummer H2s & Subs.
