I've got about $1000 to spend and I'm wondering what I should put into the engine/suspension next. My current mods are listed below + a neuspeed front strut bar that isn't listed. I don't want to get into FI or lowering the car. My thoughts were VAFC II, port/polish throttle body, port/polish intake manifold, cams and cam gears, other engine internals?, rims and tires.

Obviously I can't afford all of these but I am wondering what the experts would do. Are some things better than others? Are any just a bad idea? Let me know what you think!

Tires should always be the first mod. No upgrade is more important than good tires.

I would do rims and tires. What good is power if you cant get good traction?

Will there be a noticable difference over the stockies?

yeah I think so. The rims are wider so you have more rubber meeting the road.

You don't need wider rims to benefit from better tires. A 195/50(Random Size) R15 All Season Brand X is not gonna be nearly as grippy as a 195/50 R15 Yoko, Bridgestone, or Toyo High Performance Tire.

As long as you buy a good tire then yeah, your gonna notice a difference in the increased traction limits of your car.

what i would do is go on ebay and find a jackson racing supercharger kit (used) big deal. Ive seen them go for about a grand +-100 bucks. with your curent upgrades your car will have about 240hp at the wheels and a great power curve. JR supercharger is a must for any performance minded h22a owner
