Problems Starting When Warm

Help!!! Before having a new fuel pump installed, I could simply turn the key forward for a hair of a second and my blazer would turn right over and run fine. Fuel pump went bad and I installed an aftermarket (Advance Auto) lifetime warranty product. Ever since installation, I now have to turn the key forward to the accessory position for 5 seconds (listening to the engagement of the fuel pump) then the engine turns over with no problem as long as the engine is cold. Now the problem is when I go somewhere, turn it off for a few minutes then come back and try to start it again. When I turn the key forward this time, usually the engine turns and turns and turns without firing, I have to turn the key backwards and forward 2 or 3 times before it will fire. Could this be anything else besides the fuel pump or do I need to exchange this as a defective product.

Surely someone has an answer to this...

Still sounds like the fuel pump to me. You may want to check your fuel pump relay also. You should hear it click from the glove box when you turn your key. I would get the fuel pressure checked and go from there.

I just bought a fuel pressure guage from autozone, I will have to figure out how to use it but hopefully tonight I can get a reading on the pressure and post more later to see if its normal.
