Ok so I'm cruising down this main road that everybody street races on and has there music blairing, anyway I'm cruising with 3 other friends and he pulls me over out of all of us, he comes up to my window and is like why did u have your music so loud. I said alot of people have there music loud on this street. I said u didn't here all of my friends music, he said don't get smart with me, I was like OK, he said we have a city ordinance if we here music coming from your car from 50 feet away u get a citation. So in my mind I'm like WTF, u have nothing better to do than give me a loud noise citation when there are people street racing on the same road. On the ticket it said "boom box" which I think meant my sub box, which I didn't even have my subs on but I wasn't about to argue with him cause it wouldn't have done anything. I mean by no means do I have a loud system compared to most of the people in my town, there's a guy in my town that has like 6 15's in his truck. All that I had on were my 4 6x8's there powered by a 220w amp he heard that from 50 feet away yeah right. My friend behind me said he couldn't even hear my music. Anyway my friend told me the same cop gave him a ticket for the same thing and he said its gonna be like $180 ticket and I don't have a $180 dollars any suggestions on ways to get money. Sorry for the long thread.

Get money?
Rob a bank and then make your getaway in your car with your music playing real loud.

That blows. Look over the ticket very carefully. If something is mispelled or written down wrong in any way call a lawyer and the shit will get thrown out.

Damn that sucks, man. And I thought cops in my area were pricks. Some kids at my school have systems that you can here from the front door of my school, which is about 100 some odd feet from where the cars are parked. Just to be safe, though, I always turn down my music when I see a cop.

I would have turned my music down but I didn't see the cop until he flashed his lights at me

You're lucky that you don't live in WA State. The fines up were I used to live near Seattle are up to $1250 for having your stereo up too loud. It's a bit nerve wrecking especially since I used to own a convertible.

I always found it amusing that there's no law against Harley's rattling your windows when they're next to you on the freeway (which you can hear from a mile away) but at 50 feet, your stereo is making too much noise.

Sell your system to pay your fine. Problem solved permanantly.

Then you shouldn't have any problem working your ass off to pay your fine.

You sir are just a series of contradictions.

You have no job, but you worked your ass off to get the system, now you're sitting on your ass doing nothing.....go and find a job to pay your ticket.

Please contact me via PM to arrange payment for me thinking for you.

Good point. I think the whole loud noise thing is slightly messed up because there are so many other loud things that have the same effect that don't get ticketed, like loud motorcycles, etc. While people will get picked up for excessively loud vehicles from time to time, at least from what I know I have heard more cases about loud stereo equipment when certainly the louder vehicles cause a greater problem, at least with me. But then again, there are those dumbasses that go cruising through residential neighborhoods at 1am with their music blaring, so you have to have some kind of enforcement on that. I think the problem could be solved if the troublemakers that made the loud noise ordinances showed a little more respect to others.

What the fuck do u think I've been trying to do for the last month and even if I could find a job at this exact moment I wouldn't get the money in time to get the ticket paid.

Not once have I sworn at you yet you chose to swear at me, you're a bigger loser than I took you for.

If things are so bad sell the stupid car and pay the ticket, or better yet, sell the damn sound system and pay the ticket.

If you're not going to make some concerted effort to get yourself out of the situation you've got yourself into, shut up and stop whinging at every bit of advice we throw at you.

You're obviously too immature to realise that sometimes there are priorities in life that require compromise.
Your current priority is that stupid ticket, either fighting it or paying it, either way you need money and you're going to have to compromise to get it. Be it finding any menial ass job you can get or selling something material which will add up to the value of the ticket.

It's not that hard to understand.

yeah I'm not trying to give any effort to get out of the situation, yeah whatever. I'm asking for reasonable suggestions not stupid ones and I have two weeks to pay this ticket, theres is nothing I can sell in that time not even my system. yeah sell my car thats a real smart suggestion and then I wouldn't be able to get a job smart one and your calling me a loser and don't even talk to me about comprise. I don't need anymore of your posts cause I just thought of a way to pay it. What did the five fingers say to the face.......SLAP I'm Rick James bitch

Pay it off with a Credit Card since you don't have the money now. Try to get the fine reduced in court too if that's even possible.

mustang you are sweating something so small, no offence but it isnt even a misdamenor, and for one that ticket should not be that much money, plead not guilty and explain to the judge that simple, problem solved

Ok heres what I plan on doing I'm gonna take some money out of my savings account and pay it off and then when I get my money back from income tax, I'll put the same amount of money that took out and put it back in my savings. I have a credit card but if I pay it with my credit card my parents will find out and if they do my car is gone.

Ummm, you had money in your savings account all this time and you are worried about paying your ticket? I mean, maybe you are trying not to touch your savings at all, but still... the money is there for the taking.
