hello new to this stuff we have a 1987 monte t-tops 350 crate flowmaster exhaust blackjack headers and now we are wondering what type of intake and carburator shall we slap in this baby? we were thinking edelbroke intakke manifold and edelbrock 750 cfm? any suggestions ?

an edelbrock 600cfm carb should do just fine. i have the 1406 model with electric choke on my camaro and it works alright. what i would suggest is getting a tpi(tuned port injection) unit from a junkyard camaro or look on e-bay there's tons of these around you should be able to find one with all the sensors, ecm, and wiring for about $500 much more reliable that a carb. it's nice to turn the key and have it start. theres also aftermarket tpi kits available but there a little pricy. anyways if you really want a carb the accepted formula is:
(engine size(cubic inches))X(max RPM's)/3456 = CFM
note: this formula is assuming 100% volumetric efficiency your engine is probably closer to 90% so if you divide the final CFM number by .90 it should be right on. in my opinion edelbrock carbs are kind of junky but by far the easiest to tune. you should talk to a few performance shops first.
the performer RPM manifolds are pretty good
